Hangar Doors Operating Sequence

  1. At Door A release tower bolts 1 and 2 and swing it outwards and against door B.
  2. Hook chain 5 to point 6 which is at door B exterior.
  3. At door B release tower bolts 3 and 4 and push outwards to be at right angles to hanger.
  4. Position Door B so that tower bolt 4 is fitted into a concrete anchor block in the ground.
  5. At Door C release tower bolts 7 and 8 and swing it outwards and against door D.
  6. Hook chain 11 to point 12 which is at door D exterior.
  7. At door D release tower bolts 9 and 10 and push outwards to be at right angles to hanger.
  8. Position Door C so that tower bolt 10 is fitted into a concrete anchor block in the ground.

WARNING:

Door B tower bolts 3 and 4 must remain FIXED until door A is chained against door B.

Door D tower bolts 9 and 10 must remain FIXED until door C is chained against door D.

Otherwise:

There is a danger of bending the mounting structure because of increased leverage.

 

Closing the Doors.

  1. At the concrete block anchoring the Door C&D combination, release tower bolt 10.
  2. Swing this door set into hanger, re-engaging tower bolts 9 & 10 into their normal locations.
  3. Remove chain 11 from hook 12 and swing door C into the hanger.
  4. Re-engage tower bolts 7 and 8 into their normal locations.
  5. At the concrete block anchoring the Door A&B combination, release tower bolt 4.
  6. Swing this door set into hanger, re-engaging tower bolts 3 & 4 into their normal locations.
  7. Remove chain 5 from hook 6 and swing door A into the hanger.
  8. Re-engage tower bolts 1 and 2 into their normal locations.
